Ahmet Köroğlu, one of the executives of the Balkan Periodicals Project, participated as an invited speaker in the panel organized by the Grand Mufti’s Office in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, for the 350th anniversary of the Muslims Magazine.
Muslims Magazine, published by the Grand Mufti’s Office in Bulgaria, is one of the longest-running and most important publications of Muslims in Bulgaria. In addition to Ahmet Köroğlu, the President of the Bulgarian Islamic Council Vedat Ahmed, journalist-writer Sabri Alagöz, an expert on Turkish periodicals in Bulgaria, and Mufti of Pleven Murad Bosnak also spoke at the panel. In addition to the representatives of the relevant missions from the region, many academics, researchers and writers attended the program and had the opportunity to see the exhibition prepared from the clippings of the past issues of the magazine. The program ended with the presentation of plaques to those who contributed to the magazine. As Balkan Periodicals Project, we congratulate the Muslims Magazine, which is of great importance for the Muslims of Bulgaria, and wish it to continue for many more issues.
